Visited our local supplier for fresh free range eggs and paid a visit to the 160+ chickens they have. We're pondering getting some chickens! :-)

Back again with another view on my week. It's been fairly busy and finally I managed to get my presentation done and it was a great success, great feedback and a little feeling of "Yay, that's over". I visited London Fashion Week with the girlies, champagne and a definite penchant for Atelier Swarovski jewellery. Oh wow!

The Follow Friday Problem

For those who don't use twitter, Follow Friday (or #FF) is a way of recommending which other tweeters you should follow. Now I've tried many approaches of #FF's and now I rarely do them, and this isn't because I don't like recommending people but because it seems to have become a bit of a farce.

A Beady Eye Confession

You remember that band Oasis right? The Gallagher brothers, the whole Blur v Oasis debate etc well I was a fan of Oasis and also Blur now you mention it. Then Oasis split. Finally. It was over. I wasn't upset, I think by the time it was all final I'd become a bit blah about whether they would release any more stuff so it wasn't a shock and then there came the announcement that Beady Eye would be Liam's new band.

Sarah Loves... The X-Files

When The X-Files were first about to shown on UK screens my Dad had been talking about the series after being in America on business when the show first aired there. For whatever reason I was intrigued and I chose to watch them with him. I probably had the viewpoint of a mixture of Mulder and Scully, that I wanted there to be something else out there and then on the side of but I had no proof either.

Learning about the news

If you give me a newspaper I'll read the front headlines and then immediately turn to the sports section and then leave me with a cuppa and biscuits (bourbon biscuits please, thank you). I'll stay there reading for about 30 minutes, longer over weekends. It's not that I don't pay attention to news, I follow a few News channel updates on twitter but I don't tend to "know" too much about all the nitty gritty of what is going on. Maybe if I was reading The Gotham Times or The Daily Prophet it would be different!

Weekly Loves

I made cupcakes this week when I should have been doing some study. Simple vanilla cupcakes with vanilla butter cream frosting. Heaven

I used to do a weekly blog called "The Good The Bad and The Ugly" when I used to go through my week and pull out the bits that fitted into each of those titles. I found I was focusing more on finding the bad and the ugly parts rather than concentrating on finding the good. I outgrew those blogs and people who read my blog commented that they liked those and that I should bring them back. So I am. Sort of.

Someone like you

I may have mentioned a few times about how much I love Adele. Listening to her new album I was always going to love it but it's the last track "Someone like you" that ends the album on such a twist for me. You can hear the heartbreak in her voice and through the lyrics.

My wardrobe is pretty much full of black mixed with grey, brown and dark khaki. I've now got some green and purple in there but with my recent return to work I have reverted back to my black leggings with a long top/jumper.

I'm blessed with thick and wavy hair, I used to for years (and years) hate that I had thick and wavy hair and longed for my Bestie's straight hair and then realised I needed to just get on with what I had.

A tutor challenge

A few months ago I was asked if I would like to become a tutor. At first I was a bit like "Nah, that's not for me" but after a few successful mentor programmes I wondered if this could be a new step for me. I received lots of information and within days I was on a training course.

I've been aware for some time that I apologise too much. I've been worried that a real apology sounds insincere because I appear to overuse the word sorry. A twitter chat around this area of my personality made me think more about it.

Sarah Loves... Any Given Sunday

Possibly not an obvious choice for my Sarah Loves... blogs but Any Given Sunday is one of my favourite films. I always tend to watch it around the time of the Superbowl. It's not one of the greatest films ever but it's got one of the best motivational speeches ever.

I was having a bit of a reminisce session with friends over out favourite chocolate bars/treats that we loved that are not around anymore. Here are a few of the ones we talked about. Do you remember vice versas?

Vice Versas are a type of chocolate similar to Galaxy Minstrels. A Vice Versa can exist in one of two varieties; one consisting of milk chocolate encased in a white coloured sugar coating; the other of white chocolate in a brown coating. They were nom!

It's 6 Nations time again!

Yep it's time again, 6 nations rugby... excuse me whilst I just re-organise my life around it :-) This year it seems intensified as the 2011 World Cup just months away. Although this means football, cricket and rugby will all collide at some point for the next two months.

My Mum loved Mary Quant cosmetics when she was growing up and I admit I did love all the make up bits and bobs that she had when I was going through my "want to look older" years. I was particularly taken by all the different nail colours.

Sarah Loves... Sky Atlantic

I admit loving a TV channel is pretty tragic, especially when the channel doesn't launch until tonight! As soon as I first saw the advert I was hooked, I wanted it, NOW. As you know I'm not the most patient person ever.
