How do you cheer yourself up?

I've been a bit under the weather this weekend, although I think I'm feeling better now. I went out with Bestie on Friday night to check out a new bar in town and I had a few drinkies and was prepared for a hangover the next day.

I woke up on Saturday morning with no hangover, THIS NEVER HAPPENS! Instead I woke up with a cough, sneezing and a high temperature. Bugger! I felt like utter poop.

So I prescribed myself -

A pyjama and duvet day
Cheesy and buttery mash potato (nom nom nom)
Catching up with my book reading
Lots of tweeting time
Lots of Premier League football watching :-)
Hot chocolate

I headed off for a nap in the late afternoon with strict instructions for Spurs boy to wake me up at 7, otherwise I wouldn't sleep in the night. He is very obedient and woke me up at the correct time (teehee) and had ordered my favourite chinese takeaway. Heaven!

Also he put Red Hot Chili Peppers album Californication on :-). Absolute win.

I think I can put down my cold/flu bug to my body telling me to not be so stressed. I had a bad work week last week and I can't have another. I've taken today off work and I'm going to properly kick this bug into touch and just relax.

How do you cheer yourself up?

*Also I might add the new bar in town was actually not that good, a real shame :-(
