Well it's over. Another World Cup won. Spain I feel are worthy winners across the tournament, although it certainly wasn't great World Cup overall. I don't just mean England's dismal display which I might add I'm still trying to erase from my memory. But there have been better tournaments, but I'm not taking anything away from Spain.

Does the FA do refunds?
Forgive me if this still seems as bitter and disappointed as I was during and straight after England's awful World Cup 0-0 draw against Algeria in South Africa. Even after a night's sleep I am still annoyed but mostly I feel letdown. Again.

England V USA
After returning this week from my trip to New York (and the jetlag has really hit in the last 48 hours) I feel a little indifferent towards England's opening match against USA in The World Cup.

Sarah Loves... James Corden
He's funny right? I want to actually know him. Not in a stalkerish way I'm quick to say but how cool would it be to go to the pub with him? I'd be laughing a lot. He just is a funny guy.

Get Well Soon Rio
Gutted for Rio. Gutted for the team. Great loss for our World Cup hopes. But on the positive side I'm pleased that Michael Dawson has been called back up to the squad.

Capello's 23
So today was judgement day with regards to who made the final 23 in Fabio Capello's England squad for The World Cup. Seven players got the phone call to say they would not be part of the final 23 and could now go off on their Summer holidays and for some contemplate their future.

Anyone for swaps?
So recently I have been caught waiting patiently for Little man to come out of school doing World Cup sticker swaps in the playground. Yes sad I know but I'm determined to complete the album before the World Cup starts.

Hargreaves is back!
I said I wouldn't mention Owen Hargreaves again on this blog until he had played at least 30 minutes of football, well Thursday night he played 45 minutes for the reserves against Burnley in the 2-0 win.

Good Luck To England on Wednesday

I apologise for this second post on football in the last week for those uninterested in it.
I felt I should write a post about wishing England "Good Luck" on Wednesday night when they play Croatia. I wish I could be as excited for the game like a Manchester United game, but England never seem to have the same exciting football, I always feel uninspired after. There are some of the players who are proud to wear the national shirt, but there are others (Steven Gerrard for example) who don't show the same spirit or hunger that they do for their club teams which is a real shame.
I of course can remember all to well England's last encounter with Croatia and the picture below (the Wally with the brolly headline) being on the front and back of newspapers the next day, I was shocked that we had played so badly and I hope that this could be the time in South Africa for England to win the World Cup.

But, I know that England haven't really faced a big test for some time now and I don't honestly believe that we can match Brazil or Spain in the final of The World Cup? I hope so.
I also hope it doesn't rain on Wednesday night and that no one hands Fabio Capello an umbrella!
