Firefox Home App for iPhone

My preferred browser is Firefox and has been for some time. The one thing that annoyed me with my iPhone was how unpractical Safari was for me and I had got tired of adding my bookmarks. Then Spurs boy said "Get the Firefox app".

OPI iPhone Application

As an iPhone user I have often blogged about good and bad applications that I have used. You'll also notice that after my completely upsetting update with my iPhone I am now back in love with my iPhone. Phew! Also now that the weather is much better :-) I have noticed that my feet are in desperate need of some TLC. I spend a lot of my time in trainers doing my coaching and teaching but also for my volunteer work that I do I need to wear steel toe capped boots. So my feet are in need of love.

iPhone #ios4 Update Fail

Don't worry I haven't broken my iPhone, but let's just say after my Sarah Loves...her iPhone post I have fallen out of love with it in the past 24 hours. It's not good.

Sarah Loves... her iPhone

My iPhone goes everywhere with me, wherever I am it is never too far away. You might remember my devastation when I had dropped my phone and it failed to work, luckily it all got sorted and I'm now even more careful with it. It's my life, or rather, my life is in it.

Sarah Loves... Tumblr

Have you heard of Tumblr?

Tumblr is a blogging platform that enables users to post text, images, video, links, quotes and audio to their tumblelog. You can follow other users, like their posts and re-blog any posts that you like onto your own blog. In many ways it is similar to Twitter.

Next iPhone Application - FAIL!

I downloaded the Next iPhone Application the other day as I do like to have a browse around the internet, have you noticed? Anyway I thought this one would be ideal for when I'm bored or commuting and need to find a certain outfit but this is in no way a good choice. Luckily it was free or I would be really mad.

Ping!

So tell me iPhone users how much do you spend on texts a month?

I decided to cut down on mine with my current new contract (you know saving the pennies!) but sending texts is kinda our lives right? I get so many free a month but have been known to go over :(

Then a friend suggested Ping! It's a iPhone and iPod Touch Application that is a mixture of text messaging and instant messenging and the best part is it's free to send the messages (Application download is 59p at the moment - bargain really!).

Ping! works with push notifications so that messages can be delivered anywhere in the world, instantly. The great thing about Ping! is you don’t have to share your phone number with anyone. Once you’ve downloaded the app you simply pick an ID (choose carefully, this can’t be changed currently) then tell your iPhone/iPod touch using friends about the app and once they install it you can send messages to eachother for free.

One of the refreshing things about this app is it's unique notification tone. A lot of apps out there use the default text messaging sound which can cause confusion, but Ping! gives us a lovely “ping ping” sound!

It's still a new application so there are a few problems, it does sometimes crash and there is a 150 word limit, although at the moment there is no visible counter yet! Hopefully an update in the future would enable picture messaging to be sent! Now that would be awesome...
