Me and My New Friend

I have a new friend. She cannot speak and the only communication I have with her is for me to talk to her. Sometimes depending on how loud I speak she will go away as the noise has surprised her.

I only see my new friend when I'm in the garden, and she enjoys watching me plant out seeds, seedlings and even eating my tomatoes (!). I've never seen her at night-time and she does not come out when it rains. Today I have not seen her at all, I think she finds somewhere dry and undercover until its warmer again.

Anyone know what she is?
