Reviewed : Walkers Crisps Hoops and Crosses

There's been a little monkey living with me for a while now, his name is Walker. I was sent him and a packet of Walkers Crisps new crisp sensation 'Hoops and Crosses' and I've since been buying them every two or so weeks. It would be more but a girl can't eat too many crisps can she? Ok, that's a total lie but shhh...

Before I could take a picture of the Roast Beef flavour that I was sent, they had been eaten! Yep, all gone. I have since bought the prawn cocktail flavour ones which I wasn't overly keen on admittedly, the roast beef ones are very yummy. I haven't tried the salt and vinegar ones as I'll admit this is not my favourite flavour. I'd love to see these in a cheese flavour or pickled onion *drools*

Anyway the important thing with these is that they are wholegrain, there's no artificial flavours or preservatives and they contain 30% less fat than a regular packet of crisps! They have become my new work lunch snack but they would be perfect for kid's lunch boxes too.

P.S. I named the monkey Walker because... I wanted to!

Disclaimer - I was sent the crisps (and Walker) for an honest review, which I always do for my blog reviews.

mypure review: Akin Skin Care Pure Radiance Organic Rosehip Oil

I had bad acne as a teenager, actually no, I 'thought' I had bad acne but really it wasn't as bad as I thought it had been. But at the time I had it 'the worst ever' - such a drama queen! I still have slight acne scars on my face which I am very conscious of, they also flare up when I'm ill. It's like a reminder when I'm feeling rough that "Hey, your skin is crappy too". Gee, thanks life!

When looking at products to review I had my eye on A'kin Rosehip Oil and I'd noticed in the other reviews that people who had adult acne scars had seen an improvement. They also noted that it had made their skin brighter and lessened the darker skin patches under the eyes. When I first starting using this I put 2-3 drops in my hand and just massaged it over my face, obviously be careful around the eye area. If like me you can be a bit clumsy then apply in front of a mirror. The oil is bright orange and I naturally feared I might end up looking like I'd been tangoed! That didn't happen by the way.

Music Monday: Alisha's Attic - I am I feel

Sometimes songs follow me about and this week I have found that this Alisha's Attic song has been following me. I am I feel was released in 1996, bet that makes you feel old ;-) The sisters, Shelly and Karen have since gone onto write many songs for other artists including Liberty X, The Sugababes, Kylie Minogue and more.

The Friday File #40 - Leonardo DiCaprio

I have a feeling that this choice might split the fans of my Friday File choices but here me out first. I don't really like the older Leo, I'm more 'in love' with the younger Leo. Especially Leo from Romeo + Juliet.

Of his films I can list my favourites like this; What's Eating Gilbert Grape, Romeo + Juliet, The Man in the Iron Mask, The Beach, Catch Me If You Can, Gangs of New York, The Aviator, Blood Diamond, The Departed, Revolutionary Road, Shutter Island, Inception, Django Unchained and The Great Gatsby.

Notice no mention of Titanic!

He will next be on screen in The Wolf of The Wall Street. It was reported this week that Leo has turned down the chance of being in Star Wars VII but other Friday File members Ryan Gosling and Zac Efron could be in it...

Music Monday: Kelis - Good Stuff

I have no idea how this happened but this song has been randomly stuck in my head for the last week or so. I don't recall hearing it and it's not on my iPod, so I am putting this down to my always random brain becoming even more random. It happens.

The song wasn't very popular when it came out but I liked it. I wonder if anyone else actually remembers it. Do you?

The Friday File #39 - Liev Schreiber

The new Sky Atlantic drama series Ray Donovan started this week. I caught the pilot on the Sky Demand service the night before and I'm hooked! Ray Donovan is played by the lovely Liev Schreiber who I first saw in the Scream trilogy as Cotton Weary. He is also set to be in the film Crossface about wrestler Chris Benoit. Others will recognise from The Manchurian Candidate, Salt or Sabretooth from the X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

Music Monday: Arctic Monkeys - When The Sun Goes Down

I do love a bit of The Arctic Monkeys and enjoyed their set at Glastonbury, although the white lights were a little bit bright for this tired lady. I watched it again the next day and it didn't seem so bright, maybe I acclimatised to the brightness. Anyway... "he's a scumbag don't you know"

The Friday File #38 - Andrew Lincoln

Andrew Lincoln (his real name is Andrew Clutterbuck - yes really!) is the English actor who is famous for his roles in This Life, Teachers, Love Actually and The Walking Dead. I absolutely loved This Life and have loved everything that he's been in, another favourite is the zombie TV series, The Walking Dead.

He might not be an obvious choice for everyone but he is for me ;-)

Music Monday: Olly Murs - Dear Darlin'

There was something in the news recently that Olly Murs never makes it on the playlist of the biggest radio stations in the UK. I can't see the problem with him personally and he does make some very catchy tunes, although I am biased as he is a Manchester United fan. This song Dear Darlin' gets stuck in my head several times a week and although I don't really know all the words I still find myself humming along and I've even made up my own words sometimes...

Yes I do that, do you?

The Friday File #37 - Simon Baker

Simon Baker has already featured on my blog in part of my Sarah Loves... feature but that was way back in 2010 so we need a re-cap. Yes we do. I'll admit I have sort of waned with watching The Mentalist but I will try to get back into it over the Summer. I also spotted that he will be in the film I Give It A Year that looks kind of fun. Baker is also the face of Givenchy and what a lovely face it is too.

Sarah Hates... it when people don't change the channel

I realise that we can not all like every single sport, band, film... as the next person but I do know that every single day we have the choice to not sit through something we don't like. Many times I have seen people incessantly moan about a band, TV programme, sport but they continue to sit there watching it.

WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE!?!

Now... I realise that is down to you what you watch but why must you update across various social networks that you hate this band/TV programme/sport but are still watching it. Not only that but you have mentioned hours earlier that the band/TV programme/sport is going to be on later and how much you dislike them. Do you not realise that you don't have to watch it?

Music Monday: Ed Sheeran and Passenger - No Diggity/Thrift Shop

Everybody loves a mashup song don't they? Well I do. Ed Sheeran and Passenger singer Mike Rosenberg sung this a couple of months back on a Australian radio show. They start off singing 'No Diggity' and then Sheeran adds 'Thrift Shop' in later.

I'm a little bit hooked on the song right now.
