Bloglovin changed!

This is another of my 'drama' moments when really it's not actually a drama but it is annoying, very annoying. I have used bloglovin for a while now to follow and read all my favourite blogs and bloggers. Then they changed it, well they updated it but lost the blogs I had 'starred' as my favourites. Yep drama!

I follow about a zillion blogs and when I have a spare moment (normally when travelling on the train) I open up the bloglovin app and work my way through my starred favourite blogs. If I have time I work my way through more. When you rely - yes rely on a website for a function and it's gone it makes me mad and also sad. I try to keep my little self so organised and I don't like change. Bloglovin on twitter did contact me and said my 'starred' blogs were lost probably for good and that the app is going to be having a big update soon. So now I'm moving and sorting my blog reader to something else, I'm trying out a few options and I think I'll have to do some kind of back up system for these.

Just when I was going to start my series for how I stay organised, something changes and pushes me into panic. It will be resolved soon and I'll keep you posted.

You can still follow my blog on bloglovin but please let me know if you have any issues with it. Bah, Sarah does not like change!

Some ideas for your blog

As well as having a change around on my blog page I found some other handy little tips and thought that I would share them with you.

I got this blog page template from
http://www.allblogtools.com/ but there are many other websites to choose from. They have options for 3 and 4 column templates. They also provide help on how to make this template your own ie, colours, fonts etc it does involve knowing a little about html but they do guide you through what to do. I'm very pleased with this page and I do like purple as you can tell and even my twitter page has recently been taken over by purple too.

I got my twitter background from
http://www.twitterbackgrounds.com/ but again there are many other choices.

Speaking of twitter I added a twibbon to my profile picture from
http://twibbon.com/, Stephen Fry added the Norwich FC twibbon at the weekend (Yes that was before they lost 7-1 to Colchester and yes he still has it on his picture!). There are a lot of charity ones and a lot of choice and there is also an option to make your own twibbon! So for all you creative folk go give it a try!

Another tip I have found is to get your blog or website added on google search via their google submit page at
http://www.google.com/addurl/?continue=/addurl.

Also I found a website called Spottt!
http://www.spottt.com. You show an advert of another Spottt user on your blog page and they will show yours. The amount that the adverts are seen depends on how many visits you get every day but is another free way to drive traffic to your blog/website.

As you have probably noticed I now have a signature at the bottom of my newest posts I made this using
http://mylivesignature.com/mls_menu.php, you can design your own for free.

Making changes

Sometimes you know you have to make a change, to make things better

for yourself. You need to feel happy in what you do and sometimes make
a change to feel complete.

This change might just be a change of hair colour, job, country even but it's a great adventure that you will only know if it will work when you've made the change.

Of course you'll be scared. I think being scared is a good sign as
it's your brain's way of making you prepare for things to be a little
unexpected. As, you can't live for the expected, nothing follows that
train of thought.

Whatever you decide to change about yourself or your life don't forget
about your past as it got you where you are today.

Sarah
