Today Powderfinger announced that The Sunsets Tour later this year would be the last tour and that their recent album Golden Rule will be their last. I'm in despair...

Chris Kamara misses Portsmouth sending off - PURE GENIUS!
It would be fair to say it was a terrible football day for me and Spurs boy yesterday. We spent the afternoon in a gorgeous little pub in Cornwall (another holiday I know) watching the football. We were talking with locals and at the time (United's match was over) and Spurs were 2-0 down so you can imagine the mood :-( But Chris Kamara on Sky Sports Soccer Saturday programme can never fail to make you laugh, and especially after this one. Pure genius!

Sport Relief
Last week I participated in a few Sports Relief fundraising events with my football classes and it felt good to be able to do something for this cause. I admit that I am a bit of a softie at heart and watching the evening's television show on Friday was as emotional as they always are.

Bridesmaid adventures continue...
Tomorrow I head off to The National Wedding Show with Future Bride and Bestie. I have read The Bridesmaid's Guerilla Handbook
and I sort of feel ready, well after my last blog 'Being a bridesmaid'.
We know that Future Bride is not wearing traditional white as well let's face it she's had two children so we're not really fooling anybody. They have decided against a church wedding and are looking for a venue to host the big day.
We will be heading to the show with our very own little Wedding organiser that we made, although I had been thinking about getting a filofax just for wedding preparations :-)

I'll let you know how we get on at the show, we have Bestie's 25th birthday party in the evening so all round it will be a fab day!
But for all you romantics I thought I'd post my favourite proposal scene. It's from Grey's Anatomy. Enjoy!

One Tree Hill Quote "Why won't you ever just let me all the way in?"
I thought today I'd watch a bit of One Tree Hill and I picked a random disc and a random episode and it was Nathan and Haley's wedding. Tear jerker bit is the scene with Lucas and Brooke and key quotes from this scene are:
Brooke Davis: "A kiss always means something"
Lucas Scott: "Please don't be mad, Brooke".
Brooke Davis: "I'm not mad, Luke. I'm not mad".

Tim Lovejoy's introduction to rugby
You've probably seen this video if you follow Tim Lovejoy or Will Carling on twitter, but if not here is Tim Lovejoy being put through his paces by Will Carling and the Harlequins squad. I especially like the bit when Carling tells Lovejoy to take off the gloves and of course Lovejoy's cheeky jump try at the end :-)

Holmes For The Holiday
Over this holiday period I will hopefully find time to go and see Sherlock Holmes.
After finally catching serial killer and occult "sorcerer" Lord Blackwood (Mark Strong), legendary sleuth Sherlock Holmes (Robert Downey Jr.) and his assistant Dr. Watson (Jude Law) can close yet another successful case. But when Blackwood mysteriously returns from the grave and resumes his killing spree, Holmes must take up the hunt once again. Contending with his partner's new fiancée and the dimwitted head of Scotland Yard, the dauntless detective must unravel the clues that will lead him into a twisted web of murder, deceit, and black magic - and the deadly embrace of temptress Irene Adler (Rachel McAdams).
I was reminded yesterday of another Jude Law film "Alfie" and I'm sure all ladies will remember a certain scene in the film involving him in a white vest whilst playing pool, you know the one ;-)
Back to Sherlock Holmes and a website you might be interested in, is that of John H. Watson's. Let me know if you see the film over the holiday season and Merry Christmas!

Sarah Loves... The Polar Express Movie
I love Christmas and at the moment with the snow I feel like every time I step out of my front door I am walking through the wardrobe into Narnia. It's amazing! Don't think everyone is so keen on the snow but I love it. Although it makes me want to go on holiday snowboarding again...
There are a number of Christmas films that I love and here is a list of my faves;
Home Alone
Miracle on 34th Street
It's a Wonderful Life
Love Actually
The Grinch
But most... I love The Polar Express!
The video below shows the first part of the film and if you haven't seen it then shame on you! Just make sure that you watch it this Christmas yes? Good.

Now I love Hollyoaks and I love Calvin (Ricky Whittle) and whilst I'm not sure if he will now win Strictly Come Dancing but this trailer for the upcoming storyline for him looks good and loving that The Yeah Yeah Yeahs is the chosen soundtrack!

Jeff Buckley - Lover, You Should've Come Over
Looking out the door I see the rain fall upon the funeral mourners
Parading in a wake of sad relations as their shoes fill up with water
And maybe i'm too young to keep good love from going wrong
But tonight you're on my mind so you never know
Broken down and hungry for your love but no way to feed it
Where are you tonight, child you know how much i need it
Too young to hold on and too old to just break free and run
Sometimes a man gets carried away, when he feels like he should be having his fun
And much too blind to see the damage he's done
Sometimes a man must awake to find that really, he has no-one
So I'll wait for you..... and I'll burn
Will i ever see your sweet return
Oh will I ever learn
Oh lover, you should've come over
'cause it's not too late
Lonely is the room, the bed is made, the open window lets the rain in
Burning in the corner is the only one who dreams he had you with him
My body turns and yearns for a sleep that won't ever come
It's never over, my kingdom for a kiss upon her shoulder
It's never over, all my riches for her smiles when i slept so soft against her
It's never over, all my blood for the sweetness of her laughter
It's never over, she's the tear that hangs inside my song forever
Well maybe I'm just too young
To keep good love from going wrong
Oh.... lover, you should've come over
'cause it's not too late
Well I feel too young to hold on
And I'm much too old to break free and run
Too deaf, dumb, and blind to see the damage I've done
Sweet lover, you should've come over
Oh, love well I'm waiting for you
Lover, you should've come over
Cause it's not too late........

Powderfinger - Burn your name
I got my 'Golden Rule' album last week, it's always difficult to get Powderfinger's music over here as they are from Australia and the import charges are pretty high but I managed to get one and it's really good. My favourite album is still Odyssey Number Five
though.
Powderfinger went straight to Number One in the ARIA (Australian Record Industry Association) Album Chart.
'Burn you name' will be the second single taken from the album after 'All of the dreamers' that came out last month.
