I was 3 years old when Torvill and Dean performed Bolero but I still find even now that watching the original makes me cry. I haven't been a big Dancing on Ice fan for a few years now but I always have had a sneak peek to watch Torvill and Dean perform.
I will always tune in for Bolero, I know that they do variations on the original and this year's final show had them take it up to a new level.
I even managed to watch their Life Stories programme with that idiot Morgan, it's still on the ITV player and really worth watching.
I absolutely love this series. If I ever need cheering up I always turn to The Big Bang Theory. For me it has probably replaced Friends in my sitcom favourites. I didn't watch the series from when it first started but a friend had suggested I watch it from the start when they were just starting showing season two. I was hooked and also a little in love with Leonard. Yup, Leonard.
Leonard and Penny's will they/won't they relationship could be seen to parallel alongside Ross and Rachel from Friends. With Sheldon being the highly eccentric quirky character and Jim Parsons who plays him so well is obviously the star of the show. That said the whole cast is superb and although Sheldon's moments are amongst the favourite ones on the show with Leonard, Penny, Howard and Rajesh they make the perfect cast of geeky nerds.
I can't quite work out my all time favourite Big Bang Theory moment although Sheldon's valium and Batman admission and then him in the ballpit shouting bazinga are up there on my list. But I've just got to put 'soft kitty' as my favourite part, who else gets it sung to them when they are sick now? I do!
I especially like it when Sheldon and Penny sing it as a round :-)
Oh yeah the other reason I love Big Bang Theory is my girl crush on Kaley Cuoco. Wowzers.
I was so tempted to photoshop him into a devil... ;-)
I'm already blushing about this one but I've started so I'll continue. You will know by now that I love gardening and yes Gardener's World is one of my weekly must see programmes. I have to admit I did get a bit wayward with watching it when Monty Don had left but now he's back it's fabulous!
This ground breaking series is one of my all time favourites and I am loving the episodes being repeated on Sky Atlantic even though I do have the boxsets. But sitting down to watch them for some reason every week is good, much like The X- Files repeats too. Yeah writing that it doesn't make a lot of sense, but it's what I do.
Image from HERE (how cool would it be to wake up to that view!)
Sleep. I love sleep. I love my bed.
Everyone is different with how much sleep you need. For me I wake up each morning at 6am without fail. Normally I get up meditate and then get dressed and have breakfast. Recently it's not been the same.
I have been a bit late getting into the podcast "scene" as it were. I've had to put up with a few in the car when Spurs boy has been driving but I'd never even thought about looking for some of my own to listen to. Soon that was about to change.
Now some of you might not like this blog of mine today as I'm one of those people who waits right till the end of aneBay bid and then I bid. Yes when you're counting down the last seconds of your bid you might have been gazumped by me...I'm sorry! Sort of :-)
I love gossip even though I'll admit you'll probably never see me read a gossip magazine (OK, Hello, Heat etc) in public but I might read as many as I can whilst waiting for the dentist or doctor. But I was hooked on Gossip Girl from the very first episode and I've never been ashamed to admit I'm addicted to it.
With my wide range of music collection I should admit that one of my big collections is movie soundtracks, actually it could be my favourite genre. So Duran Duran feature highly as I love "A View to a Kill" and also being a James Bond fan too it's double the win. Although it's by no means the best Bond theme or film!
No not just any wire... The Wire. I think this is quite possibly the best TV series ever and I was hooked from Season 1. The Wire was set in and around Baltimore, Maryland and focused on different parts of the City in each series.
The first time I properly registered that what I was listening to was a Foo Fighters track was when back in about 1996 I went to my local "indie" night in town. This was my very first experience of any sort of "nightclub" type thing but I can't remember if my parents knew that's where I was going... Oh well :-)
As a child I loved Ribena and that’s never really stopped. There is always some in at home and not just for Little man! I want some too. I think it’s because it reminds me of being young… I mean younger of course.
I remember the day I was given a Nintendo Wii for my birthday. The package was wrapped as it was in its box, no pretend packaging to try to hide what it was. I'd been a manager in a Video Games department for a while and I "knew" that box. I was like a kid at Christmas!
Now I love Monopoly but Cranium is way up there alongside and possibly could take over! Admittedly you need 4 or more people to play so it's only good with enough people. Recently we've tended to play it with a bigger group and had 3 people in a team when we've had a lot of friends over.
I'm blessed with thick and wavy hair, I used to for years (and years) hate that I had thick and wavy hair and longed for my Bestie's straight hair and then realised I needed to just get on with what I had.
Possibly not an obvious choice for my Sarah Loves... blogs but Any Given Sunday is one of my favourite films. I always tend to watch it around the time of the Superbowl. It's not one of the greatest films ever but it's got one of the best motivational speeches ever.
I admit loving a TV channel is pretty tragic, especially when the channel doesn't launch until tonight! As soon as I first saw the advert I was hooked, I wanted it, NOW. As you know I'm not the most patient person ever.
Toy Story is awesome right? I love it. I don't just mean the first one, I mean the second and the third too. There are rumours of a fourth film too, and I'm sure I'll love that one too.
I can get extremely addicted to games as you may have already spotted. For Christmas the lovely Spurs boy got me DJ Hero and I'm hooked. I played it non stop for a day in between Christmas and New Year. The next day he hid the turntable in our loft, a place I never go to - Spiders live in there!
I've always liked Muse but found working in a record store for several years had (as with other musical tastes of mine) made it turn from like into love. As with anything though the more you talk about something you like the more it seems to turn into being something you really enjoy. Daily conversations about mutual music tastes in the store made me know more about the bands I'd liked.
