January clean up!

It's January the time to start having a clear out or hibernate until the better weather comes along... well this is about decluttering. I don't know about you but my wardrobe can get a bit disorganised at times. So January is just the right time to get it back into action again, especially after you've hit the January sales and bought more clothes.

Sorry seems to be the hardest word

Image is from HERE

I've blogged before about my own "sorry issues" and then at the weekend I experienced a case of someone needing to say sorry and they just didn't. The situation was getting worse and the word was not forthcoming. I became irate but in my calm way. I'll explain;

My jewellery box feels empty...

My jewellery box feels empty, it's not but it feels it to me

My wardrobe is pretty much full of black mixed with grey, brown and dark khaki. I've now got some green and purple in there but with my recent return to work I have reverted back to my black leggings with a long top/jumper.

The Nail Varnish Obsession

My Mum loved Mary Quant cosmetics when she was growing up and I admit I did love all the make up bits and bobs that she had when I was going through my "want to look older" years. I was particularly taken by all the different nail colours.

Quite the little shopper...

This Christmas my God-daughter gave me the above mug and tin (the mug came in the tin) and it was the first present she had given me that she had actually herself decided upon, she had no help from her Mum. Apparently she was pretty adamant that she was going to get me this. And....

The Perfect Boyfriend

Ok so he's not actually "real" but he's never going to give you any trouble is he? He's a great listener, won't take the remote control and he's cuddly.

The Ultimate Coat

I guess it does look like something out of the film "The Matrix" and I'm not one for buying much quirky stuff. My coats in the past have been more practical and well really the same style. I've liked the military style and of course over here in the UK you have to have the trusty coat with a hood.

The Swap Party

image via google images

I got invited to my first swap party a couple of months ago and instantly I was hooked. The idea is pretty simple basically a swap party is where you swap clothes, jewellery, accessories etc. It's a great money saver, another way to recycle and a great way to socialise.

Sarah Loves... Yankee Candle

From first moving in with Spurs boy he started noticing these jars kept appearing... everywhere! It started off a bit of a joke as he kept telling me he could afford the heating bills and there was no need to rely on candles!

This weekend on our little shopping venture I probably pushed Spurs boy to the limit, first by going to Lush (He cannot stand the smell and quite openly holds his nose when he goes in there, very embarrassing!) he doesn't mind waiting outside though and of course carrying the bags :-)

Wanted: Huggable Hangers

I definitely want these huggable hangers so that I can tidy buy more things for my wardrobe. I had heard about these hangers before and then whilst watching The Paul O'Grady Show (Yes I watch it) Kylie said that she uses them as she hates wire hangers!

Dear Mr Car Salesman

Sarah Loves... eBay

Whenever I think about buying something, I normally head straight to eBay to see if it's cheaper on there first. With the iPhone app it becomes even easier for me to trawl through whenever I'm out and about and check. I wouldn't say I check it every day but sometimes I have stored up a list of wanted eBay purchases that I can be on there for a few hours sometimes.

My Guide to Sale Shopping

It's sale time and this is the time you'll either love or hate. Spurs boy doesn't like sale time at all, which surprises me, as everything is cheaper! :-P

OPI iPhone Application

As an iPhone user I have often blogged about good and bad applications that I have used. You'll also notice that after my completely upsetting update with my iPhone I am now back in love with my iPhone. Phew! Also now that the weather is much better :-) I have noticed that my feet are in desperate need of some TLC. I spend a lot of my time in trainers doing my coaching and teaching but also for my volunteer work that I do I need to wear steel toe capped boots. So my feet are in need of love.

Pretty things

You might remember me saying I'm not a real girlie girl. In fact typing those words makes me cringe. Yuck! But sometimes it's nice to add a touch of femininity to your clothes. As I've said before I spend quite a lot of my time in sportswear but I still have meetings to go to that need to look a little less like I'm on a mission of war.

Recently Dorothy Perkins have forced me kicking and screaming into buying some clothes emailed me their monthly newsletter of offers and I have bought a few things ;-) This time it's all about ruffles and lace :-O

Why do I feel bored?

I'm bored. Well no that's not true, I'm after new things. But within that I'm bored.

I seem to have hit some sort of stalemate with regards to what I'm doing in life. Before my trip away I knew I had to reorganise and prioritise the way I was living as I didn't seem to have time to do all the things I wanted to.

I'm lucky that I can pick and drop work and not be out of pocket, but of course I need to pick up enough to pay the bills and of course for my spending habits on pretty things. So I've cut back on my work and yet weirdly I seem to have more emails and more work? Eh. How does that work?

Just gotta have shoes...

It's always very sad to see another shop head into administration and unfortunately Faith Shoes have announced that the administrators are in. Some stores have already closed and others are continuing to trade, for the time being.

I've worked in a shop awaiting closure and it was the strangest and saddest feeling. Luckily I was able to move branches and it eventually did work out well, but I felt like I was cheating on the shop that had closed by being happy about moving on. Silly I know.

Sarah Loves... MAC Cosmetics

For years I used to want to be able to purchase MAC Cosmetics and it was always the dream growing up of being able to afford to treat myself. Sounds silly doesn't it? I don't care, it's true.
