Music Monday: Young the Giant

You may not have heard of them just yet but Young the Giant are set to be big. Really big. This American rock band formed in California were originally called The Jakes. Their debut album has received some solid reviews and the band have spent the last year plus touring. In fact they must like touring so much that just as they were getting to the end of their scheduled dates they added more.

Young the Giant line up like this; Sameer Gadhia (lead vocal, guitar), Jacob Tilley and Eric Cannata (guitars), Payam Doostzadeh (bass guitar) and François Comtois (drums). Their self titled album was described by lead singer Sameer as the "eternal summer". It's true this album delivers you to sunnier, happier times and it's a fantastic debut from the band.

With an average band age of 21 the band's name Young the Giant is indeed justification. They are indeed young but they are about to be Giants.
