Grief is a most peculiar thing

Grief can hit you in many different ways and there is no order of how it will play out for you. You need to somehow adapt and deal with the death whilst overcoming the loss, sadness and shock. On Tuesday night we were told that Spurs boy's friend (Will) had died suddenly.

Sadly Will had battled through mental health problems for a very long time and we had seen him on Sunday for the Spurs v Chelsea match at White Hart Lane. Two days later he had taken his own life. The news came as a shock and the questions of "Why?" will ring for sometime I'm sure.

I will always remember that he taught me to play chess, I'd always lost my patience and given up before he had a go at teaching me. Thank you x

Forever in our hearts and we will miss you always x x x

A quote from Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden;

"Grief is a most peculiar thing; we’re so helpless in the face of it. It’s like a window that will simply open of its own accord. The room grows cold, and we can do nothing but shiver. But it opens a little less each time, and a little less; and one day we wonder what has become of it"

I also would like to take the time to send my condolences to the family of the Rushden & Diamonds goalkeeper who died this week also.

I'm sorry to hear this. I hope he's in a better place.
