So today was judgement day with regards to who made the final 23 in Fabio Capello's England squad for The World Cup. Seven players got the phone call to say they would not be part of the final 23 and could now go off on their Summer holidays and for some contemplate their future.
The Final 23 are
Goalkeepers
Joe Hart
David James
Robert Green
Defenders
Jamie Carragher
Ashley Cole
Rio Ferdinand
Glen Johnson
Ledley King
John Terry
Matthew Upson
Stephen Warnock
Midfielders
Gareth Barry
Michael Carrick
Joe Cole
Steven Gerrard
Frank Lampard
Aaron Lennon
James Milner
Shaun Wright-Phillips
Forwards
Peter Crouch
Jermain Defoe
Emile Heskey
Wayne Rooney
I was pleased about the omission of Theo Walcott but felt leaving out Adam Johnson and Darren Bent were mistakes. If Rooney doesn't score where will the goals come from? Spurs boy reckons Peter Crouch will be our saviour but we'll see.
Spurs boy and I drew our World Cup sweepstakes with our US friends and Spurs boy got ENGLAND *teehee* and I got SPAIN. I'm a pretty happy girl right now!
So who is ready for the World Cup? We are. Are you?
