If you follow me on twitter (if not, why not? Lol) then you'll have seen me tweet about a recent advert that has every single time made me get emotional. It never fails, even now if I hear the music from the advert in another room I start to cry. You all know the advert right?
The advert is the new John Lewis advert, really pulls at those heart strings. *Get those tissues ready!
I was reminded on twitter that the song is a cover of the Billy Joel song "She's always a woman" by Fyfe Dangerfield from Guillemots fame.
For me John Lewis is somewhere I went with my parents and once I moved out I still went in there, and I still do. Such a beautiful advert - I admit I cried again watching it before putting it into this blog.
Only at Christmas last year had John Lewis made me cry again with their Christmas advert campaign shown below.

I have a love/hate relationship with things like that because I love it and it's very clever but I hate how much it upsets me!
That damn advert gets to me every time too.
Since I'm not in the UK, I discovered this commercial on the Daily Mail website this week. They did a story about the fact that viewers weep whenever this ad comes on the TV. It is lovely. I thought that it would make me cry but it didn't. Maybe I was just hungry at the time...or something.... ;)
The advert still makes me cry, I now try to prepare myself. Only makes me worse!
I'd never seen either of these before! I don't watch much TV and when I do it's Sky plussed, so I fast forward through the ad breaks.
I'm loving their adverts!!
Well done John Lewis!
I too tend to fast forward through adverts with the wonder of sky+ but luckily saw this one! x
