Operation Beautiful

I always read Rachel's Polkadot Stripes blog and I also follow her work on the British Style Bloggers also. At the weekend she mentioned Operation Beautiful and I wanted to find out more.

Operation Beautiful's mission is to
"end negative self-talk or “Fat Talk.”  If this little blog only does one productive thing, I hope it helps readers realize how truly toxic negative self-talk is  — it hurts you emotionally, spiritually, and physically"
So very simple and effective, you write a post-it and put it wherever you want to, at work, the gym, on the bus, hospital receptions etc

The Editor of the site Caitlin Boyce has also got a book out very soon, Operation Beautiful: Transforming the Way You See Yourself One Post-it Note at a Time.

I've written a few post-its already and it does feel very good to be able to write them. I've even put a post-it note on my desk simply saying "Take a break" as I have a habit of not stopping when I work at home and it's good to get away from your work and take a walk, have a coffee etc, sounds silly but really I need that note to tell me.

There are a few post it applications on facebook too, so you could daily tell someone how much they mean to you or just send them a simple "have a nice day". Simple, effective and it could mean so much to someone.

Get writing!
