The weather has not been that sunny this summer and I've noticed that the bees have struggled with the changing climate from week to week and even day to day. I did one day this week manage to get out in the garden and watch a bee having fun on the buddleia. He went round and round for ages :-)

Skittles in a box!

I forgot to do a weekly loves last week *slaps hand* so this one is two weeks rolled into one! I've been heavily addicted to skittles recently after I realised the reason I couldn't find them in shops was because I was looking for the bags and not the boxed (see pic above).

I have decided that there is no point buying summer clothes unless you are planning to spend a large proportion of the year in a warmer country. I've been back in jumpers this week and my coat has had fair usage too. We did though manage to get a sunny, rain free day at the zoo. I love the zoo, my favourites the tigers were happy laying about in the sunshine and I would have happily joined them - they wouldn't eat me would they?

The weather this week has been cold, wet and bleurgh really but today the sun is out and apparently it will be nice again tomorrow too so make sure you are all out enjoying it! I'm still chuckling away at the picture above, it's great isn't it? Any excuse to not do house work ;-)

So I have kept to my word and been quiet on the blog this week and my OCD nature struggled each morning and I was tempted to post something but I didn't give in. I'll be about a bit more next week as I have some reviews to post up.

Yep another (!) instagram picture :-)

So I've decided there are going to be a few changes on my blog, nothing major really but this is more of a "head's up" really. For as long as I can remember I have posted every weekday at 9am GMT like an organised OCD freak (apart from the times where RSS/twitter have let me down anyway!) and this is going to change. Music Mondays and this Weekly Loves have become the mainstays of this blog and I like that but from next week I might not post anything new on here on Tuesday or Wednesday or maybe even Thursday. I'm going to blog a bit random for a while. This could either be the making of me or the breaking of me I admit but I want to give it a whirl.

I was given this flower pot two months ago from my Mum's friend and back then it was all foliage and no flowers. After a few weeks there was no buds and I was starting to wonder if I had been given the wrong pot. But then suddenly flowers! Everywhere! Beautiful tendrils of colour over the pot and I'm de-heading (that sounds so cruel) so even more flowers are coming. Beautiful! I just have no idea what flowers they are... *writes on to-do list to find out*

Take That stage at Wembley :-)

Yes I finally saw Take That and I broke all the rules set out for me here in about the first 20 minutes. Oops! Was fantastic though, sore feet (too much dancing!) and no voice the day after (too much screaming!). One song I was not expecting to sing was the national anthem as we were at the national stadium! It was a bit weird having Take That make us sing it! If you've got tickets for the tour and not seen it yet, you are in for a treat!

Yes that's right. Christmas in June. As Simon and Erin from Never Ending Voyage were home and they missed Christmas celebrations last year. It did feel slightly weird to be celebrating Christmas on the hottest day of the year but :-)

Being on this course this week has been weird, fun, tiring, thoughtful and a challenge. I'm feeling energised workwise but my body feels way behind and all I want to do is sleep. Afternoon naps are back in my life! They are fab.

Salad!

I realised looking back at my previous Weekly Loves blogs and I had pretty much always started with a picture of food! So this week I decided to go down the healthy route, this is one of my 3 mixed salad hanging baskets that hang right by my kitchen door. I also have two rocket leaf buckets too as I'm having salad with everything at the moment as it's the only thing that's growing in my garden! I need to get sowing some new seeds for salad leaves in case I run out! See I can be healthy as well as eat all the chocolates and cakes :-)

A friend popped over for a cuppa and a chat and she brought along these. They didn't last long....

So where has all that sunshine that April gave us gone? That said most of my plants are currently growing at a quick rate, my courgette, peppers and tomatoes and well on their way. I've got the lovely job of cleaning out our water butt of leaves this weekend. How rock n roll is that?

Birthdays are fun aren't they? I love birthdays and not just my own but when my own comes around I get so excited and love it all. My birthday has become a week of celebrating and doing various things that were a great surprise! I have a love/hate relationship with surprises but these were all a thumbs up! :-)

Hasn't it been lovely to have some constant sunshine this week? Well here in the UK we have and hopefully it will stay across the Easter weekend too. I'm now off work till May 3rd. With 4 bank holidays coming up it seemed silly not to take the break from work.
