Music Monday: The Black Keys - Dead and Gone

It's amazing how the sunshine automatically makes everyone into a much happier mood. This album has almost been on repeat non stop since the warmer weather hit the UK. Despite the song's title "Dead and Gone" you will find yourself tapping your foot along and even singing the catchy lyrics very quickly!

Blog Love - May

The past week has been summer fun in the sun, today we're back to much cooler and cloudier times. Although I know I'm going to sound like an oldie but the garden does need a good rain downpour as the gardens and bees are suffering. Yes bees need water! The sun has also made some of my plants shoot up, especially my rhubarb and my strawberry plants have very dark green leaves.

Music Monday: Silversun Pickups - Lazy Eye

Pressing shuffle on my iPod brings many a random song to my ears. Last week this track popped up quite unexpected, not sure I've heard it in years and it's now been placed into my "favourites" playlist where it will rightfully remain. Lazy Eye features on Rock Band 2 which is where I first came across the band.

It's quite a common thing to realise in the video "Oh the lead singer is a guy"... oops.


I need to give their new album Neck of the Woods a listen.

Instagram widget for your blog

I have had an instagram account for sometime now but recently I have started using it more. There are so many picture type apps in the app store now which add even more filters and effects that it's becoming a bit of "the thing to do" at the moment. I tend to take photos of food mainly and the odd gardening picture too. You might have noticed that recently they have started appearing in the sidebar of my blog too. If not, go look!
